SOWEGA Council On Aging is looking for volunteers to promote and help lead BINGO games for seniors at the Thomas County Public Library on the second and fourth Monday of each month beginning in March/April (You do not have to be available to lead all days). The goal is to get local seniors involved in fun, social activity; and build community.
Volunteer leaders should be 18+, physically fit, and comfortable leading small groups. Families welcome. Volunteers will need to complete an application.

Project Backyard needs your help! They will be partnering with local service organizations, churches, and ministries in Thomasville to help organize and facilitate multiple service project opportunities throughout the Thomasville community. Whether you enjoy painting, distributing food, yard work, playing games with kids, or just getting to know someone you have never met before, there is a project for you.
All leaders and volunteers will meet at Project Backyard’s office at 9:30 a.m., where breakfast & coffee will be provided as well as important instructions for each project location. Make sure to bring $10 to cover the cost of your Project Backyard T-shirt. (Purchase of t-shirt is not required to volunteer.)
Once you sign up to serve, Project Backyard will send you an e-mail with all the details you need to know.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars will be placing flags on the graves of Service Veterans on Monday, May 30. Mr. Knight and Ms. McGalliard will arrive at Laurel Hill cemetery around 7:00 a.m. They will assign you a row to place flags on. Flags will be provided. Please bring your service learning form the day of. You will earn a minimum of two hours (but it will most likely not take that long.)
